They will put our kids into maximum security prisons before so much as accepting the mildest restrictions on their fucking deadly toys.
I don't know of any group in America nearly as vile. https://t.co/xwSgDiiD1f— Slava Malamud 🇺🇦 (@SlavaMalamud) May 27, 2022
Abbott and his ilk know that cops lie. They just normally don’t give a shit. They’re normally willing to back the lies.
Spare me the pretense of outrage, you odious bootlicker hacks. https://t.co/yN6RV9pBrp

This is what minority rule looks like: 10% of voters determining whether kids get to come home school alive or in a coffin. pic.twitter.com/WeMlNhooE9

Fuck the entire GOP into the Sun. (That’s not a typo or autoincorrect.)
The GOP knows only Dems have agency. That principle is the secret ingredient to minority rule.
I am trying to figure out who is the biggest asshole discussed in the various tweets (Ron Johnson, Mitch McConnell, and Lauren Boebert make compelling cases). If assholeness were a finite quantity, then someone would have to be the biggest asshole. However, if assholeness is unbounded, then they all can be the biggest asshole. It looks like the latter case applies here.
Except Abbott didn’t sound at all livid when he said he was livid. He sounded more like he was reciting a line in a school play.
Infinite assholes is what you get when you divide the GOP by zero.
We absolutely DID ban planes for two weeks, until we figured shit out.
You know what else we did? We put a bunch of restrictions on what people could bring on planes and made them go through security procedures to keep them from using planes to kill people. YOU DUMB CONGRESSIONAL FUCK.
It would be nice if the various political talk shows simply refused to put any GOPers on. Yes, the thanatophiliacs could still go on Fox, but barring them from “respectable” media would, perhaps, indicate to the general public that the GOP is no more a legitimate political party than, say, the American Nazi Party

I think ATF Precheck sounds like a good name for a gun control program.

Abbott and his ilk know that cops lie. They just don’t expect to be the ones lied to! Well, fuck you very much “Governor”.
I’m afraid that if I caught one of these fuckers out in public I might turn felonius.

Governor candidate, TX
38,000 Texans had their license to carry denied, revoked, or suspended over the last five years because law enforcement deemed them too dangerous to carry a loaded gun in public.
But thanks to Greg Abbott’s new law, they don’t need a license to carry anymore.
@debbie, the way for her to lose was in the primary with crossover votes. As much as I would like a democrat to win the seat, they won’t.
@JPL: I know. Hope springs eternal. She’s very busy talking today, something about growing fake meat in “peach tree dishes.” My head hurts.
No, we didn’t ban planes. We just restricted who could get on them. Ya know, you ignorant fuck, it was called a no fly list.
I propose a no gun list. Easy peasy. And fuck you.
The NRA has deep pockets and owns most of the Republican Death Cult, from the Fat Orange Clown to Moscow Mitch to Loonie Boebert.
I see JD Vance says the problem is porn
It was so ridiculous, I actually laughed. It’s not funny, but it is laughable
@debbie, It makes me ill to know people that touted her successes.
Re the feral pigs:
https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/30-50-feral-hogs
My only solace is that they all sound like loons to all the gen Zs – I mean honestly, porn is the reason why some kids spend 15k in ammo and guns and shoots little children at a school?
Even then they claim mental health – they’ve managed to reduce funding for all of it. So whose fault is that?
My dear wife and I have Global Entry. You apply, make an appointment months in advance at a designated TSA facility, pay $100, go there, get photographed and fingerprinted, wait weeks while they run a background check, and eventually get your card. I don’t recall, but probably 3-4 months. And this is just to not stand in a long line when entering the US. If it took that long to buy a gun, I wouldn’t mind at all.
Boebert might not make it past her primary June 28. Her opponent, State Senator Don Coram, is appealing to disaffected Republicans and to Unaffiliated voters, the largest block in the CO 3rd CD. The latter group gets two ballots in the mail and can return one or the other either by mail or in person. There are reports of 3rd Disyrict Democrats reregistering as Unaffiliated in order to vote against their motormouthed representative.
Boebert won by 6 points in 2020, but redistricting has made the district more Republican. The June 28 primary is probably the best chance to knock Boebert out. Coram would certainly be an improvement. His Republican critics accuse him of being too willing to work with Democrats in the Colorado legislature.
The 72 year-old Coram looks like rancher, but he’s actually a hemp farmer. He’s been accused of promoting legislation that would favor the industry and himself. In a debate last week Boebert tried to accuse Coram of acting in this matter with ulterior motives, but it came out of her mouth as “alternative motors.”

The Mange got like 70% of the vote in the R primary. The D winner (Marcus Flowers) got only 3,000 more votes than Mange’s challenger.
She’s an embarrassing ignoramus but of course, the real problem is the voters. She will no doubt hold that seat for as long as she likes.
The more the repubs talk about their “solutions” and excuse the gross incompetence and cowardice of the local cops the angrier I get…
Thought Abbott and Cruz were the worst but then Coryn goes and opens his yap….grrrrrrrr
@Sure Lurkalot: No Democrat has finished closer than 25% behind in Greene’s Georgia 14th CD since it was created in 2011. It’s a “corner” district, with Alabama its western border and Tennessee its northern boundary.
@Geminid
“It’s a “corner” district, with Alabama its western border and Tennessee its northern boundary.”
I cannot accurately convey my visceral reaction to reading those words. I’d be scared to do so much as stop for gas in a place like that.
Speaking of assholes, I saw John Ashcroft today. He was leaving the place we went to have breakfast as we were coming in. A bunch of people were with him, I assume his family. It’s not every day you can say you saw a former Attorney General of the U.S.
@Dorothy A Winsor:
Porn doesn’t make you want to kill people. In fact, it induces exactly the opposite impulse, if you know what I mean.
As an outside observer I’ve been watching Democrats and Republicans tangle over gun control for decades. I have never understood the latter group’s entrenched belief — which they well know is indefensible — that the right to possess and carry firearms trumps all other rights AND the obligation to be responsible with them.
I would readily donate to an organization that ran ads accusing Bill Cassidy of equating the Uvalde students with feral pigs.
The claim would have a far cleaner line of connection than 90% of GOP blather about Democrats and “socialism” or “wokeness.”
